Overview

TokenStrategy is an experimental platform by TokenWorks that creates autonomous, self-consuming “Strategy” tokens. Each Strategy uses trading fees to carry out a defined onchain strategy around an underlying asset.

How a Strategy works

For an NFT or fungible Strategy, fees accumulate in the Strategy contract. When the contract can afford an eligible asset, a purchase can be executed. The asset is listed for resale, and sale proceeds buy and burn the Strategy token.

The contracts enforce this cycle onchain. Bots and other participants submit the transactions that carry it out. Asset availability, trading activity, transaction costs, and contract settings affect when actions happen.

Ordinary trading fees generally settle at 10%. New launches can have a higher initial buy fee that decreases over time. See new launches and trading fees for the current NFT schedule and the initial-purchase exception.

Launch a Strategy

You do not need to own an ERC-721 collection to request its Strategy. The current Ethereum launch flow is permissionless for eligible ERC-721 collections, subject to collection transfer restrictions and launch availability.

The NFT launch payment reserves an initial token purchase for the wallet that pays. After the request delay and any factory cooldown, anyone can finalize the launch. At the verified 0.25 ETH payment, the purchase is estimated to receive roughly 1% of the one-billion-token supply; the actual amount is determined at launch.

Explore the ecosystem

• PunkStrategy was the first Strategy token and remains the ecosystem token.
• NFT strategies buy and sell NFTs from an underlying collection.
• Fungible strategies buy and sell amounts of an underlying ERC-20 token.
• Recursive strategies buy and burn their own tokens. Existing deployments remain available; new recursive launches are not offered in the current create form.

Each deployed Strategy retains its own contracts, settings, and fee schedule. A new launch generation does not migrate existing tokens.
